Regular class, pull-out program, or gifted class/school? Which works best for your family?

When it comes to gifted accommodations, one size doesn’t fit all.

Not all families have access to schools that understand gifted students and their special needs. However, those schools that do generally implement one of the following programs:

  1. Accommodation in the regular classroom
  2. A pull-out gifted program for identified students
  3. A designated gifted class — or, in some cases, charter or magnet schools for gifted students

What options have worked best for your child? If you’re in Canada, please indicate your province (no need to identify your city if you prefer not to).

If your child is gifted and currently not in a school or class that accommodates giftedness, what services would you like to see in your area?

Have a good weekend, everyone.
